About this opportunity
Forsters welcomes twelve trainees annually onto its two-year training contract. Trainees complete six four-month seats, normally including experience in Commercial Real Estate, Trusts, Tax and Estates and at least one contentious practice area. The final seat is completed in the department into which the trainee expects to qualify. This application cycle is for the September 2029 intake.
Who is it for?
Penultimate-year law students, final-year non-law students, graduates from any degree discipline and career changers. The direct route is particularly suitable for candidates unable to attend a vacation scheme.

Requirements
Applicants should normally have at least ABB at A level or equivalent and should have gained, or expect to gain, a 2:1 degree. Forsters looks for intellectual ability, sound judgement, collaboration, motivation, interpersonal skills and genuine interest in the firm. Mitigating circumstances are considered.
How to apply
Complete the online application form without submitting a CV, followed by a self-recorded video interview. Shortlisted applicants attend an assessment day in February 2027. Successful direct applicants then attend a final interview in April or June 2027 before training-contract offers are made.
