Privacy Policy

Nentra is a student opportunity platform that helps you find internships, apprenticeships, work experience placements, insight days, training contracts, and scholarships in one place. We are not affiliated with any of the organisations whose opportunities appear on the platform unless clearly stated.

We may collect the following types of information:

• Account information — your name, email address, and password when you register.
• Profile information — any optional details you choose to add to your profile.
• Usage data — pages visited, searches made, and features used, collected to improve the platform.
• Device and browser data — IP address, browser type, and operating system, collected automatically.
• OAuth data — if you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive basic profile information such as your name and email address from those providers.

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and manage your account.
• Show you relevant opportunities and remember your saved items.
• Send you notifications about deadlines or account activity (only if you opt in).
• Improve and maintain the platform.
• Respond to your questions or support requests.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

You can create an account using your email and password, or sign in with Google or Apple. Your password is stored securely and is never accessible to us in plain text. If you use Google or Apple sign-in, authentication is handled directly by those providers under their own privacy policies.

When you save an opportunity or track your applications, that data is stored in your account and linked to your user ID. You can delete your saved items at any time from your profile. If you delete your account, all associated data is permanently removed.

Nentra uses cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in and to understand how the platform is used. We use Vercel Analytics to collect anonymised usage statistics — this data cannot be used to identify you personally. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings.

Nentra uses the following third-party services to operate the platform:

• Supabase — our database and authentication provider. Your account data is stored securely on Supabase infrastructure. See supabase.com/privacy.
• Vercel — our hosting and deployment platform. See vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.
• Google OAuth — optional sign-in method. See Google's Privacy Policy.
• Apple Sign In — optional sign-in method. See Apple's Privacy Policy.
• Resend — used to send transactional emails such as account confirmations. Your email address is shared with Resend only for this purpose.

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. All data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored using industry-standard security practices. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your account and associated data.
• Object to certain uses of your data.
