About this opportunity
The D. E. Shaw Group is hiring Investor Relations interns for its London office for Summer 2027. The ten-week programme is expected to run from June to August 2027. Interns work with the Investor Relations team, which manages relationships with current and prospective investors, and learn about the firm’s investment strategies, products and clients. Projects may involve investor communications, prospect and investor-focused research, brainstorming sessions and attending meetings with investors.
Who is it for?
Current bachelor’s or postgraduate students from any field of study who are interested in investor relations, strategy, capital markets, investment management or the economy. No previous finance experience is required.

Requirements
Applicants should have a strong academic record, intellectual curiosity, analytical skills, excellent written and verbal communication, attention to detail, a structured problem-solving approach, client focus and the ability to work independently and in a team. Experience in consulting, venture capital, economic research or product management/strategy through clubs or internships is useful but not required.
