About this opportunity
9KBW offers a five-day mini pupillage programme for up to 30 candidates from April 2026 to March 2027. Mini pupils observe hearings in criminal courts in and around London, attend regulatory tribunals, potentially participate in case research and preparation, and interact with barristers and clerks to learn about a career at the Bar. The programme is not funded, and travel or other expenses are not reimbursed. 9KBW emphasises inclusivity and encourages a diverse range of applicants.
Who is it for?
Applicants must be undergraduate students (law or non-law intending a career at the Bar) in higher or further education, typically in their penultimate or final year, aged 18 or over, and able to live and work in the UK. Candidates with disabilities are encouraged to apply and can request reasonable adjustments.

Requirements
Applicants must have started or completed a higher or further education course, be at least 18, able to live and work in the UK, and preferably be in the penultimate or final year of their degree. Law students preferred, but non-law students with legal ambitions are welcome.
