About this opportunity

Pump Court Tax Chambers offers mini-pupillages for people considering a career as a barrister and interested in the Tax Bar. In 2026/27, successful applicants may attend a two-day in-person mini-pupillage in Chambers or a one-day virtual mini-pupillage. Mini-pupils are supervised by a junior member of Chambers, complete tasks designed to reflect junior tax barristers’ work and may have the opportunity to attend court.

Who is it for?

Students and graduates considering a career at the Bar, especially those interested in tax law. Priority is usually given to applicants in the second or later year of a law degree, those who have started the GDL, or those undertaking the BTC.

What you will gain

Insight into specialist tax practice, experience of junior barristers’ work, supervision from a junior member of Chambers, possible court exposure, and practical understanding of the Tax Bar.

Requirements

Applicants should attach a full CV and cover letter in Word format.
