About this opportunity

Latham & Watkins’ Spring Vacation Scheme runs from 5 to 16 April 2027 in London. Participants complete real, client-facing work alongside their peers and experienced lawyers, gaining an authentic insight into life as a trainee. Students experience different practice areas, receive support from supervisors and mentors and take part in professional and social activities. At the end of the scheme, participants have the opportunity to interview for a Latham training contract.

Second-year and later university students, including final-year students and graduates, from law and non-law degree disciplines who are interested in commercial law.

Requirements

Applicants should be in at least their second year of university or be graduates. Applications are welcomed from law and non-law degree disciplines. Candidates should demonstrate academic achievement, relevant experience, sound judgement, communication and analytical ability, and clear motivation for commercial law and Latham & Watkins.

How to apply

Submit an online application covering work experience, extracurricular activities, academic achievements and motivation for law. Applicants then complete an online assessment based on a simulated pro bono case and a behavioural assessment. Successful candidates attend an assessment day involving an interview, written task and presentation. During the scheme, candidates are assessed through supervisor feedback and interview for a training contract.
