About this opportunity
Freshfields’ Summer Vacation Scheme provides a realistic insight into working as a Trainee Associate at the firm. Participants spend three weeks gaining exposure to the firm’s work while sitting within a practice area of their choice, developing professional skills and building connections. Freshfields runs two schemes: 28 June to 16 July 2027 and 26 July to 13 August 2027. The scheme also provides a potential route into the firm’s Trainee Associate Programme.

Penultimate-year undergraduates, final-year undergraduates and graduates from any degree discipline who are interested in commercial law.

Requirements
Applicants must be penultimate-year undergraduate students, final-year undergraduate students or graduates from any degree discipline. As this is a paid placement, applicants must have the right to work in the UK. Students on a UK study visa must attend a scheme that falls outside their university term time.
