About this opportunity

The Hogan Lovells Cadwalader Spring Vacation Scheme runs from 12 to 23 April 2027. Participants are treated as members of the team and gain experience working on major client projects across different practices and jurisdictions. The scheme combines meaningful legal work with professional development, networking and insight into life as a trainee. At the end of the scheme, participants receive an automatic interview for a training contract with the firm.

Who is it for?

Penultimate-year students, final-year students and graduates from any degree discipline who are interested in pursuing a career in commercial law.

What you will gain

Two weeks of practical legal experience, exposure to major client projects, professional-skills development, networking opportunities, insight into the firm’s practices and an automatic training contract interview. Participants are paid £500 per week.

Applicants should have or be predicted at least a 2:1 degree and have achieved AAB at A-level or an equivalent qualification. Candidates should demonstrate adaptability, ambition, collaboration, critical reasoning, communication, initiative, innovation, resilience, personal responsibility, commercial-law motivation, technological awareness and a strong work ethic.
