About this opportunity
GN Law offers work experience opportunities for students and graduates considering a career in law. Due to the sensitive and confidential nature of the firm’s legal aid work, placements are generally aimed at university students, law graduates and those undertaking postgraduate legal studies. Applicants can express interest in areas such as family law, mental health, Court of Protection, actions against police and public bodies, wills, trusts and probate. Placements are limited and offered subject to business needs and departmental capacity.
Who is it for?
University students, law graduates and postgraduate legal students, including those studying a law degree, GDL, SQE, LPC or equivalent.
What you will gain
Insight into legal aid practice, exposure to specialist legal areas, understanding of client-sensitive legal work, practical law firm experience and clearer evidence for future paralegal, vacation scheme, training contract or legal aid applications.

Requirements
GN Law does not offer these placements to GCSE or A-Level students. Applicants should be at university, a law graduate or undertaking postgraduate legal study, and should be able to explain their preferred dates, placement length, current stage of legal education and areas of law they are interested in.
