Nine Chambers offers a limited number of mini-pupillages each year to students interested in learning about life as a barrister. Applications are accepted from those who have completed their first undergraduate year.

About this opportunity
Mini pupillages at Nine Chambers provide candidates the opportunity to gain insight into the work and life of a barrister. The scheme is competitive and encourages applications from underrepresented groups, including those who attended state schools, have caring responsibilities, or were in care. Successful applicants will be invited to attend a mini-pupillage at chambers after each selection round.
Who is it for?
Undergraduates who have completed their first year (in any subject), especially those from underrepresented backgrounds, state schools, or who meet set Widening Participation criteria.
What you will gain
Insight into the life and work of barristers, practical legal work experience, and exposure to different areas of law practiced by Nine Chambers.

Requirements
Must have successfully completed the first year of an undergraduate degree in any subject. Applicants from underrepresented and widening participation backgrounds are especially encouraged.

Apply using the online submission form, submitting a CV (max 2 pages) and covering letter (max 1 page), or via post to the stated contact. Two annual deadlines: 30th April and 31st October. Candidates are contacted within four weeks of each deadline if successful.
