About this opportunity

Covington & Burling LLP’s mentoring programme supports talented socially mobile students in entering the legal world with confidence. The programme includes one-to-one mentoring from a Covington lawyer or trainee, practical skills sessions led by the Professional Development team, and opportunities to build confidence and clarity about pursuing a commercial law career. Highlights include a launch event at the London office, six in-person skills sessions, and networking opportunities. Applications are open from 28 August 2026 to 16 October 2026, with the programme launching on 5 November 2026.

Who is it for?

Students from their second year of a law degree or final year of a non-law degree, on track for a 2.1 degree, with ABB at A Level (mitigating circumstances considered), socially mobile backgrounds, genuine interest in commercial law, and not already on another mentoring/career programme.
