About this opportunity
ACCESS Commercial Law is a virtual programme for secondary-school students interested in law. Participants learn about commercial law and legal careers through interactive online sessions, panel discussions and mentoring. Sessions cover commercial law, career pathways, application forms, online assessments, interviews, assessment centres, commercial awareness and preparing for university and employment. The 2026/27 programme runs through the school year from November 2026 to March 2027.
Who is it for?
Students in their penultimate or final year of secondary school: Year 12 or 13 in England and Wales, S5 or S6 in Scotland, Year 13 or 14 in Northern Ireland, or fifth or sixth year in the Republic of Ireland.

Requirements
Applicants must attend a state-funded, non-fee-paying school or college, or a fee-paying school on a 100% means-tested bursary. They must also meet at least one social-mobility criterion, such as experience of care, free school meals or Pupil Premium, caring responsibilities, refugee or asylum-seeker status, a routine or manual household occupation, attendance at a school with lower attainment or university progression, or being the first generation in their household to attend university.
