About this opportunity
Mott MacDonald’s 2026 UK Part 2 Architectural Assistant Career Path is an opportunity to join its architectural team in Birmingham, Bristol or Glasgow. The team works across aviation, defence, transportation, education, energy and justice projects, delivering architectural services and technical support from concept and planning through to detailed technical information. The role provides Part 2 practical experience within a large multidisciplinary consultancy, with mentoring from experienced architects and designers.
Who is it for?
Postgraduates who have just completed their Part 2 PG diploma, master’s or similar qualification and are looking for Part 2 practical experience. Applicants may have up to 12 months of Part 1 work experience.

Requirements
Applicants should have completed a Part 2 PG diploma, master’s or similar qualification, have up to 12 months of Part 1 work experience, and show strong design skills, built-environment interest, problem-solving ability, communication skills, attention to detail, technical drawing ability and report-writing skills. Revit experience is beneficial. Applicants must be eligible to achieve security clearance, which normally requires being a British national or having lived in the UK for five years or more.
