About this opportunity
Glasgow Film Festival’s New Talent Mentorship Scheme supports emerging professionals working in film, high-end television or animation. Eight successful applicants are matched with mentors in their chosen field of screenwriting, directing or producing and meet them monthly over six months. Mentees also receive complimentary accreditation for Glasgow Film Festival 2027, and one participant may receive a £1,750 Bridge Awards career-development award.
Who is it for?
Scotland-based emerging filmmakers, screenwriters, directors, producers, TV professionals or animation creatives from backgrounds underrepresented in the film industry.

Requirements
Applicants must be based in Scotland, aged 18 or over, not in full-time or part-time education, and have written, directed or produced at least one short film in their chosen field. Applicants should either have a short or feature film in development or be actively seeking to build on existing experience. TV applicants can qualify through relevant TV training or at least one year of relevant TV work.

Complete the New Talent Mentorship Scheme application form and Equal Opportunities Monitoring Form. Applicants may also submit answers by video or audio if they contact Glasgow Film Festival first about accepted formats. Shortlisted applicants attend a Zoom interview.
