About this opportunity
Wildscreen’s Film and Events Trainee role is part of the Environmental Storytellers Programme, supporting young people into careers in natural world storytelling. The trainee will support delivery of Wildscreen Festival’s public outreach elements, help manage the Festival Film Library and contribute to the public programme of Official Selection film screenings. The role is paid at the Real Living Wage and runs for 210 hours over 10 weeks, with part-time working negotiable.
Who is it for?
UK-based 18–30 year olds from underrepresented backgrounds who want to pursue careers in natural world storytelling, film, TV, conservation or environmental communications.

Hands-on film festival experience, events experience, exposure to natural world storytelling, practical work with screenings and film-library activity, and entry-level paid experience in the wildlife film and environmental storytelling sector.

Requirements
Applicants must be aged 18–30, UK-based, have the right to work in the UK and have no more than one year of cumulative paid experience in natural history film and TV.
