About this opportunity
Pathways to Banking and Finance is an 18-month programme for Year 12–13 (sixth form) students, run by LSE in partnership with the Sutton Trust and Deutsche Bank. It includes in-person and online activities, such as taster lectures, well-being and study skills sessions, work experience placements, employer insight days, a national summer residential at the University of Warwick, mentoring from current LSE students, and job application skills workshops. The programme is entirely free, including reimbursements for travel and lunch costs where needed, and support for accessing online activities.
Who is it for?
Year 12 students at state-funded schools or colleges within commuting (up to 90 minutes) of LSE, who meet academic and additional eligibility criteria specified by LSE.

Requirements
Mandatory: Attend a state-funded, non-fee-paying school/college; Year 12; live within 90 minutes’ commute of LSE; at least five GCSEs at grades 9–6 (including 2 at 9–7, English Language and Maths included); studying A-level or IBDP HL Mathematics, plus at least two full A-levels or IBDP HLs in traditional academic subjects. Additional criteria (not all required): first in family to attend university, Free School Meals, attend a school/college with low progression rates, live in deprived neighbourhood, in care/previously looked after.
